Super Mario Bros. 3 was an extremely generous game for its time, and occasional deaths are to be expected. But each level becomes increasingly easier with familiarity, and by the time you get to the hardest levels in the game, you're expected to know the controls and physics well enough to overcome and succeed which you did.

World 2: All of the levels here are about equal difficulty, but due to the star coins (and the alternate exit on one), the hardest levels would probably be 2-2 and 2-4.
